What's a Wedding REALLY about?????

I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,

A church filled with family and friends.

I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,

He said one that would make me his wife.

~Author Unknown

I found this quote today and thought it was the sweetest way to remind Brides and Grooms that it doesn't matter if you get married at the Ritz Carlton or Town Hall, your day is about becoming Husband and Wife and that's what really matters.

Congrats Andrew and Jennifer !!!!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of Coordinating Andrew and Jennifer's wedding at Thousand Hills Ranch in Pismo Ca. Two of my favorite things about Andrew and Jennifer's wedding was the Rose Ceremony they chose to do during the ceremony and the centerpieces they made for the reception. I also loved the venue they chose because it fit perfectly with their theme and personalities. I wish this couple a life of happiness and thanks for letting me be part of their big day!

Here is a picture of the happy couple and me.

This was a picture I took of their centerpieces that I LOVED!
Each table had a different whiskey bottle which served as the table numbers for guest seating. The really cool part was that each bottle had lights inside so at night they had a soft glow.

For more details about the Rose ceremony feel free to email me :)

Location,Location, Location

The first step in planning a wedding is finding the perfect location. This can be a time consuming and daunting task but here are a few tips to keep it fun And less stressful.
1) look online: this is a quick way to see if the venue meets your needs and see some photos
2) if the venues website doesn't have a price email for a quote and eliminate it as an option if it's not in your budget
3) when it's time to visit the venue make a list of questions and take with you so you don't get swept away in the beauty of the venue
Are tables, linens, bathrooms, etc. included
Will you have to obtain day of insurance
And if it's an outdoor venue do they provide a backup an in case of poor weather
These are just a few questions that need to be asked before ever signing a contract.
And remember the most important thing is that you and your wallet are happy. If your going to put yourself in debt or have to beg borrow and steal money to pay for it, it might not be the right venue for you.

Always remember this is the place you will start your new life as husband and wife so keep venue hunting fun. Only do 2 visits a day if possible keep a pen and paper to right down pros and cons and feel free to take pictures. Don't feel pressured and have a few dates in mind incase one is booked.

There are beautiful wedding venues all around the central coast so have fun!

Officiants

An officiant is the most important part of your wedding, he/she is the one that actually makes you Husband and Wife.  That's why it is so important to find an officiant that is responsible and professional. It's also important to find one that matches your personalities and one you are comfortable speaking with. I have been to many wedding were the bride and groom didn't research their officiant and later regretted it. For those of you who have no idea who will marry you start researching early and meet with them in person and ask as many questions as you like. Research vows and other things you want to do in your ceremony like unity candle etc. before hand so you can talk about that. Also if you have any religious ceremony's you want to do make sure the officiant is familiar with it.
A great way to start off you research is with weddingwire.com
Another great resource is your friends and family ask around and you 'll probably get some great info.
